Arts & Creative Production

Where walls tell stories and creativity becomes income

Arts & Creative Production

The Arts & Creative Production Department is a dynamic training studio and living art gallery where creativity is transformed into opportunity and sustainable income. Vulnerable women and youth develop practical skills in painting, crafts, design and artistic production while creating high-quality products for sale to tourists, hotels, lodges and local markets. Every artwork represents a journey of empowerment, healing and self-reliance. By supporting this department, donors help talented individuals turn their creativity into livelihoods, creating lasting social and economic transformation within their communities.

The Arts & Creative Production Department at GRACELAND-DOVE COMMUNITY CENTRE (GLDCC) is more than a training space it is a place where creativity restores hope, dignity, and opportunity for vulnerable women, youth and underprivileged families. Located in the heart of the Volcanoes tourism area of Musanze, this vibrant department transforms artistic talent into sustainable livelihoods through practical learning, production and entrepreneurship. Here, beneficiaries engage in painting, drawing, crafts, decorative arts and creative design while producing high-quality products that are displayed and sold to visitors, tourists, hotels and local markets. Every artwork tells a story of resilience, healing and transformation. The colorful walls, handcrafted products and creative exhibitions reflect the talents, dreams and determination of individuals who are rebuilding their lives through art. By supporting this department, donors are not simply funding an art program; they are investing in a pathway to economic independence, emotional healing and community development. Each contribution helps provide materials, equipment, mentorship and opportunities that enable vulnerable people to discover their potential and generate income from their creativity. The department serves as a living gallery of transformation where art becomes a tool for empowerment, self-expression and sustainable change. Through creativity, beneficiaries gain confidence, skills and the opportunity to create a brighter future for themselves and their families.
