After reviewing three years of tutoring outcomes, our education team identified five habits that consistently correlate with improved grades: consistent schedules, distraction-free spaces, active note review, asking questions early, and celebrating small wins.
We now teach these habits explicitly in the first month of tutoring. Parents receive a simple checklist in English and Spanish.
One eighth-grade participant raised her science grade from D to B+ in a single semester by applying just two of these techniques. Stories like hers remind us that sometimes small changes create large results.
